In-module retrieval refers to a feature of a module’s assessment design whereby if you achieve below 40% in an assessment task at
the first attempt you are given an opportunity of reworking the assessment task
3
In some cases, it may be stipulated for some modules that you have to do something in order to undertake assessment on a module.
Any assessment where these requirements are not fulfilled will receive a zero mark. Further details can be found later in this
assessment brief
5. Design a meso-cycle from within the programme, detailing six, one-hour sessions that will develop the target
group in a holistic way (i.e. socially, physically and psychologically) and submit this in tabular form to
accompany the report
6. Prepare and submit one session plan from the six-week meso-cycle to provide a more detailed example of
the approach that you will take to developing the physical, emotional and social characteristics of your target
group
