Clinical Information Systems: Integrating stand-alone systems with the EHR

Now that you understand the EHR and the standards that have been created to ensure that systems can communicate with each other, Chapter 9 discusses Clinical Information Systems. Prepare a paper that discusses the issues and challenges of integrating these stand-alone information systems with an organization’s electronic health record. Also, you should discuss the benefits that might be realized if integration is achieved. Your paper should be a minimum of 3 pages, excluding title and reference pages, and follow APA format. (You should include two references, in addition to your text).
