In this assignment you are required to critically explore language

ideologies/frameworks in relation to bi/multilingual education. You

need to comment on ways in which bi/multilingual learners’ language

practices may be positioned by the underpinning ideologies and you

can use (not more than) 2 typologies of bilingual education to

illustrate your understanding. You will submit a Powerpoint

presentation of no more than three slides with notes. In your

presentation, you should clarify how you see the relationship between

bi/multilingualism and TESOL. Your slides and notes will be graded

out of 35. The notes should constitute about 1000 of the 1500 word

limit. You will then speak for 2-3 minutes on a pre-recorded video

summarising your ideas while sharing the powerpoint slides on your

screen. Submitting the spoken presentation will attract an automatic

pass/fail and will be worth 5 marks. You must upload your slides,

notes and video to the dropbox. We will also watch the presentations

together in class in week 6.
