George Orwell’s 1984.

We have just finished reading Aldous Huxley’s, Brave

New World. We are going to start George Orwell’s

1984. When we are done with 1984 you will write a

compare and contrast essay on these novels. It will be

your Final Exam.

You will choose three of the following themes to

compare and contrast. Start thinking about the three

you will choose. You will need to go back into BNW to

find quotes. As we read 1984, be thinking about how

these themes are similar and different in each novel and

quotes you can use from 1984. I will give you more

details about the essay later.
