Human Sexuality and Gender Issues – Research and Reflection Paper

Select one of the subject areas that we have covered in class: – Feminist Theory – Gender, Gender Fluidity and the Sex/Gender dichotomy – Sexualities, including Queer Identities – Sex work including Prostitution and Sexual Trafficking – Sexual Assault Discuss an issue that falls within one of the above subjects. From the perspective of social workers studying this issue, provide an assessment, integrating critical reflection, practice experiences, and information gathered from the assigned readings, as well as your own independent research. Critique of the assigned readings can be threaded throughout the paper as informed by your own social work values, identity, social location, personal worldview, characteristics, and/or experiences that impact your approach to and understanding of working with individuals and families in your chosen topic.
